Writing Goals and Expectations that Drive Instruction
A look at the skills, strategies, behaviors and understandings we want all writers to develop: Purpose and Genre,
Craft, Writing Process, Writing Identity and Conventions. We will also discuss what mechanics and convention mini lessons look like in the
writing workshop.
Units of Study in the Writing Workshop
All units of study need to have purpose and power. We will use our goals and expectations as a guide for curriculum
planning and as a foundation for our teaching.
